QTEC Pitch Days

Remember BQIT? That conference about quantum information in Bristol? WELL, during that week I met Andy from the Quantum Technology Enterprise Centre who told me about Bristol University’s quantum accelerator - a fellowship scheme which mentors researchers to become entrepreneurs. I really appreciated Andy and the QTEC team speaking with me and they have continued to mentor me.

At the end of the 1 year fellowship scheme they offer two pitch opportunities; one in Bristol and one in London. Luckily QTEC let me pitch as a guest! It was the first time I pitched to real investors, and it also meant coming up with an interim company name. I picked C15 because that’s the lab I did my Ph.D. in (and I’m still based in C15 now!).

My commercialisation journey started back in 2016 when I was selected for the Nature/Entrepreneur First Innovation Forum.
