Burgh House Talk

I spoke at an event at Burgh House, curated by Dr. Jess Wade. The event was “Science and society”; an afternoon of stories from some of people who are changing the world by combining the two. Burgh House is also a museum so check it out if you’re around Hampstead/North London! Also speaking were some amazing women;

• Sophie Deen, the founder and CEO of kids’ media company, Bright Little Labs. She believes in the power of storytelling to promote critical thinking, computer science and equality for ALL kids.

• Alice White, Wikimedian in Residence at the Wellcome Library. White has a background in the history of science and was awarded the WES Amy Johnson Inspiration Award.

• Dr Faith Uwadiae is an immunologist at the Francis Crick Institute. She rose to fame after a viral Twitter thread that highlighted success stories of Black scientists throughout Black History Month
