Careers Panel Q&A
UCL Women in Physics group hosted a careers panel where I had the pleasure of interviewing:
Prof. Alexandra Olaya-Castro (Vice-dean of ED&I for MAPS),
Dr. Laura Bovo (Innovation Networks Manager, UCL Innovation & Enterprise),
Dr. Elinor Bailey (Senior Teaching Fellow, Physics & Astronomy).
We discussed the traditional route to a professorship, the importance of additional faculty responsibilities, teaching in academia, and paths out of university research via innovation and entrepreneurship.
